Regardless of the remaining non-conference schedule, I’m liking this a lot… it’s very challenging, but not over the top.
If they have a home and home agreement with UTSA, maybe a trip to Texas in late December?

If our schedule was not tough enough, we are playing at Fairfield on December 16th.
Another good match up. I was thinking Fairfield or Quinnipiac would be on Meg’s radar.
Kinda bad timing though (for both teams). Finals at Columbia are from 12/17 to 12/23 this semester, and 12/16 is in the heart of finals week for Fairfield too.
Although not official yet, the Ivy schedule appears to be set. We open in Ithaca on Jan 3. This is what is shown on ESPN’s website. The games vs Yale and Dartmouth are not shown yet, but those games can be deduced (most likely) by seeing when Cornell plays Brown and Harvard.
For example Cornell plays at Brown on Jan 18. Columbia is most likely playing at Yale on the same day.
Fun fact: All non-conference opponents had at least 20 wins last season except…

I think we have our full schedule! Saint Joseph’s just announced theirs and we will visit them on December 9th. The schedule as of today is supposed to be:
Very very very competitive schedule. 10/13 in last years’ Top 100 NET. Worst is 151. 10/13 had 20+ win seasons. Duke is #3 in ESPN early predictions. A schedule at the level of my expectations for this season.
This has to be a rarity at some level… no D-III opponents, plus every game against a team who had a winning record last season.
UConn has an insanely challenging non-conference schedule this season, but they’ve got Cornell in early November, so they cannot even make that claim.
Princeton also has a very tough non-conference slate, but they’ve got Houston Christian and Rutgers penciled in this season.
We need to get Kreeeker’s crack staff on this. When was the last time this happened (no sub .500 teams from the previous season)?
The last DIII opponent women lions played was 2016-2017 season, can’t say the same the the men’s team.

I know they’ve only scheduled 13 non-conference games in recent years, but seems like there’s room for at least one mid-week game in November.
Columbia is playing 15 non-conference games this year. They are playing Michigan at home on November 12.

I ran into one of Columbia’s wbb coaches at US Open. Apparently the NCAA is allowing teams to schedule an extra two games starting this year, check out Princeton’s official schedule, they also playing 15 non-conference games.
Thanks for sharing… yes, I did notice that Princeton has 15 non-conf games scheduled… so, one more for the Lions. Who’s it gonna be? UTSA? Binghamton?

Geez, I tuned in, but my free trial expired before Meg came on. I got stuck watching US Open highlights.
I split the non-conf schedule into 3 groups:
Four (4) teams with a NET (from last year) over 100 (Belmont, Hawaii, ODU, Wagner). Prediction: The Lions go 4-0 from this group although the games at Belmont and Hawaii could come down to the wire.
Seven (7) teams with a NET between 49 and 100 (Davidson, RI, SDSU, Seton Hall, St Joe’s, Fairfield, OSU). The Lions go 5-2 from this group, but 3-4 or 7-0 wouldn’t shock me either.
Four (4) teams from the B1G/ACC (Michigan, Maryland, Duke, Stanford). The Lions go 1-3 here, but I expect them to be competitive in all of them.
So, I have them going 10-5 in this segment of “way too early to speculate”.
I’m most looking forward to the games on the road vs Maryland and St Joe’s. Meg always seems to get her teams to play well on the road. A win in College Park would make a statement and would add to the team’s level of confidence that should carry over from the WBIT run.
And I’m curious to see if the team has some revenge in mind against a team (St Joe’s) who blew them out of Levien last November.
