2026 NCAA Tournament

My God, I cannot believe what I just saw!

UCONN slays Duke! That was unreal.

Amazing comeback and finish. No more true Cinderellas, but there have been a ton of instant classics this year. Dan Hurley may be a screamer but he gets the job done. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but something to think about.

Mullins did what Lee should have done. The 4th option who was forced to take the final shot because time was running out. And he made it.

Hurley is a madman but he can coach.

Duke coughed up a major hairball there. They really didn’t have an answer for Reed in the post, with both Brown and Ngongba (who wasn’t 100% physically) in foul trouble.

The killer was that last play. All they needed to do was hold the ball until time expired. The pass that was intercepted was a bonehead move, and it cost them the game.

Eat your heart out, Christian Laettner.

Bonehead move, but the game was not over with a foul unless he hit both shots. There would have been about 9 seconds left. I think he didn’t want to be on the line there. He saw the open man downcourt and thought it would win the game. It did…for UConn…

I take it back. Just saw a clip where Scheyer was wildly gesticulating for him to throw it downcourt. This was a coached play—makes it worse.

I was at the Laettner game. This was a deeper shot. And one that clearly beat the time clock —Laettner’s was late had the timekeeper started the clock as soon as he touched it. Catch, dribble, stop and release in 2.1? Still a great shot.

I don’t think you can blame Scheyer for coaching to play keep-away rather than shooting foul
shots. Aslightly higher pass and the game is over. Athletic play to deflect it, and force the turnover and than a miracle shot. If the pass got there, Hurley would be hearing it for not fouling.

It’s really just a basketball player trying to make a play in the moment. His decision to make that pass wasn’t based on whatever the coach was doing or not doing at that split second.

The kid, a freshman, was in trouble. Just call the TO and rescue him. All on the coach.

Not sure how much one can lean on the freshman aspect, considering he’s could be going to be the pro’s next year. But I will give him major props for how he handled things afterwards,

Amusingly, apparently Carlos Boozer has spent much of March mocking other teams.

Agreed, but… still an 18 year old freshman. Trust me.., always nice to see Duke eat a little humble pie!

Gotta give Demary a ton of credit for that deflection. He was really the hero down the stretch with a couple of treys and the key steal while playing with an injury.

If I recall correctly, they were out of timeouts at that point.

They were not. Scheyer said he considered it in the moment.
