My Early Take on Poll

CU Fans: It’s hard to see our men being picked anywhere other than 7th or 8th this year. Yale is the clear favorite and Harvard is a strong contender for 2nd or 3rd. Cornell is also talented. After that, I think it’s wide open. I think we struggle a bit early with a tough schedule, a new system and an effort to solidify a consistent rotation. Unlike previous years, we will learn a lot about the team in the preseason and improve. Once the league starts, I think we start to play better and find ourselves right in the mix for the Ivy League tournament.

I totally agree with Columbia9 and am expecting the Lions to have a great season and a berth in the Ivy League Basketball Tournament. There is a new sheriff in town and his name as Kevin Hovde. Unless his predecessor, this guy knows how to coach and his staff is damn good today. As Columbia9 said, we might “…struggle a bit early with a tough schedule, and an effort to solidify a consistent rotation..” However, let’s not forget that all of our key players, except de la Rosa, are returning and they have have already amassed a huge amount of playing time. Give these guys credit for immediately recognizing that the new sheriff in town knows what he is doing and Columbia will no longer be giving away 15 points to its opponents in every game because of inferior coaching.

Brown at #6, I’ll take the over, That said, I am always optimistic

Penn and us will be higher for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the worst ever Princeton season. They looked very bad when Lee was not on point last season
