Penn @ Princeton

Attacking the rim is turning out to be a winning strategy.

Happy running wild inside.

Some questionable ref fouls on 3 point shots helping you stay in it. McCaffrey less than thrilled with the officiating, but that’s par for the course with Penn games at Jadwin.

And now Happy from three!

Finally exploiting the weak Penn defense to start the second half. Now need to tighten up the D–this team can be forced into turnovers and bad shots, but it takes work.

Honestly, it never fails to amaze how horrid the officiating is at every Jadwin game. Penn should have been up by 20 in the first half, But I guess Princeton never fouls. At least, not at home.

Meanwhile, the fear of Davis sitting out the year fades away.

The Tigers’ athletic/skill superiority finally showing itself as I noted across the lineup. The Quakers just don’t match up very well one-on-one.

Clark used a switch to be effective in the paint, twice.

Damn it’s good to have Dalen back!

Let’s see if they can hold on, but its clear as day how much of a difference he makes.

Can the Tigers run through the tape, up 8 with under six to go? Gonna have to hit FTs, always an iffy proposition.

Davis dribbles off defender’s foot, recovers, and still scores at the rim around two defenders. Nice.

DD dives on the loose ball and gets the tie-up. Much better defensive efforty this half overall.

Huggins redeeming himself in the 2nd half!

Huggins, Happy, and Davis have just balled out this second half. Took the pressure off Stanton and Clark and Hicke to do everything.

Scantlebury is not exactly a good scorer inside. Maybe don’t foul him.

Gotta be better against that press. Bad turnover. Then an unneeded foul by Clark with no time running off the clock.

Malik’s vastly improved FT shooting is so valuable. He’s too athletic to defend at the rim without contact. Now he’s finally making teams pay.

Unnecessary turnover and now unnecessary foul while in the double bonus. Grrrr.

Apparantly he’s a natural left-hander who shoots free throws with his right hand, which may explain why he brings the ball back in front of his left eye.
