Gakwasi was in street clothes and when
introduced with his family the announcement
made clear his playing days were over.

Byriel was taped on one ankle. May have been a factor. Just speculation.
Lee and Pierce both gad slow starts today
You can get away with that against Penn but not vs. Yale. Uphill battle fir sure. Yale might be a 12 seed
If Tigers win they are at best a 15
Tells you all need you know.

Trying to make sense of the quantity. Where do 110+ 3x games a season come from?

In most conferences, every conference tournament game is a 3rd time meeting.

Right. Thanks. I was only thinking tourney finals. Guess I was past my bedtime.

That was a lot of fun to watch. Very happy for Peters, who looked like a roman candle for stretches there. On a lot of squads he’d be option number one and be running off down screens and curls on every possession.

Weird to have Penn be a “get well” game, but their defense was honestly very bad and they only had two guys who could seriously threaten to score on most trips. It’s hard to believe that the Tigers have beaten the Quakers–what?–13X in a row?

Lee played an excellent game distributing the ball as well as scoring, Pierce showed flashes of his old self (steals as well as moving without the ball), Happy looked comfy again versus Penn’s centers and playing the traditional high-post outlet, and the D was okay most of the time (still giving up too many easy drives to the rim IMO).

Let’s hope they can go out and play a loose, aggressive, upbeat, team-oriented game against the Elis.
