Xaivian posted this picture… with a #notcommitted tag.
I don’t see Lee as the sort of defensive player Pitino looks for, either. Jordan Dingle’s season at St. John’s should serve as a cautionary tale.
I believe Dingle now plays in Serbia! Cautionary indeed!
Serbians are tough and skilled. Maybe the experience will be a good one for JD.
Long way from the national basketball association. Long way.
Very true. I’d imagine it’s something of a haul to get from there to Turkey, Spain or France, as well.
He averages about 20 min a game and 11 points on a good but not top team
Long way to go as mentioned
according to sources (and as Joe Tipton has already reported), X is now on his way to visit Kansas this weekend. surprising development, we will see what kind of bag bill self can throw his way.
Kansas, St. John’s, Florida… Wherever he goes, Xaivian will surely be playing in the NCAA tournament next season. I hope we’ll have two teams to root for next March.
Defense and better finishing at the rim (and a floater) are the main things he will probably need to work on to flourish at these schools. He cannot have so many shots blocked or missed on drives in leagues with lots of guys who can contest with athleticism.
Looks like fla per his instagram
Yep. I think he made the right call for his NBA aspirations. He can take over Walter Clayton Jr’s role as lead guard next season.
Those are some BIG shoes to fill
Depending on what happens with Condon and Haugh, he’ll have some big, mobile guys defending in the paint. Haugh has a nice offensive game, too.
Hope he runs like the sun. Excited to watch him compete and where his game goes. though I was hoping he would run it back. Guy is so so quick it’s special
I am shocked by the move too!
Best of luck to Xaivian at FL. As noted above, he has big shoes to fill. Also less help in the backcourt than Clayton did. I have a feeling he will rise to the occasion with the help of his teammates. But he is still going to be eating six times a day to try to bulk up.
He is entering a situation of high expectations, and intense scrutiny by fans and the local media; not at all like the cacoon of Princeton. From an athletic perspective he is ready. I hope he is ready emotionally.
He’s already forgotten princeton.
Agree. Time to move on for us too.
