So many interesting story lines for Yale this year, with Tony Reno forced to leave far too early because of a disease, last year’s national coach of the year, Kevin Cahill, returning to Yale after three years at Lehigh, Dante Reno returning as quarterback but without his Dad as his head coach, the need to replace last year’s Ivy offensive player of the year, Josh Pitsenberger (who unfortunately was hurt and may miss the NFL season) at running back, the return of last year’s defensive player of the year and this year’s captain, Abu Kamara, and much more. And while Yale may be picked first in the pre-season polls, the polls are notoriously inaccurate in picking Ivy champions. Should be a fun season.
Joining the real world and playing in the FCS tournament has made the league so much more interesting, as well.
