Important contributions to the U16 GB team on 2023 and 2024 as a 6-0 F. Looks like she grew up a lot during the last year, as she is listed to be 6-4 in her team roster now (London High School Academy).
Although there is no official announcement, it has been kind of known that there has been a commitment from years ago from
Chloe Dix, 6-0 G, Australia.
Same high-school as the Henderson sisters. She is apparently attending Blair Academy this year.
Although nothing is yet over, most players have already committed. The only two that I know that are a real option (apart from some international player hard to track):
Mathis Dritz 6-2 W/PF. ESPN #84, down to her Final 5 offers that include Kansas St, San Diego St, CU, Arizona and Oregon. Did her official visit recently.
Elyse Ngenda 5-8 PG. ESPN #95, New Hampshire POTY. Down to her Final 5 offers that include Stanford, Northwestern, Harvard, CU and Princeton. We were her first offer.
Yes, Chloe Vella seems to have had a remarkable growth spurt, and if it continues next year’s team might very well enjoy competing for an unprecedented high national ranking. Of course, it would be great if Coach G lands one or both of her high level national 2026 recruits namely Dritz and Ngenda. However, even if that does not happens, the 2026 team is almost certain to be very good.
I have two quite good news. I ran into these Instagram reels today that gave me a lot of hopes for the 2026 class.
Seems like Chloe Dix has been playing at New Hampton School this season. She looks to me as a slightly bigger and more scoring version of Kitty. She has the same moves and even wears #10 too. And Elyse Ngenda is also playing with her there, so the chances of getting both of them increase I guess. They look like two really solid guard picks for the 2026 class.
Given that we are graduating two seniors this season, doesn’t that mean the roster would be too big? Both Chloes already make the team 16 players, with potentially 2 more, makes a 18 player roster (??)
