#9 Tigers vs. #8 Okie St

Looked like the Tigers were making serious inroads into making this one competitive, but down the stretch in the 2nd quarter was ugly.

Gave back any ground they made up.

Game on!

Kinda

Congrats on an amazing year Tigers! Made some good runs but OK State was resilient; to my eye they still put a scare into OK State until about mid-way through the fourth quarter. Would have preferred to comeback for the win of course but a nice showing overall against the fourth place team in the Power 4 Big 12 conference. With four returning starters and development of younger players, hopefully another great season awaits next year!

Unlucky game. Got outplayed on the inside. I hope this was not the last Princeton game with Berube as the coach

At least in this game the announcers got the Ivy 4 in 4 thing right with St. Rose. They got it wrong with Zanoni in the Penn game.

This game really highlighted that the IL had zero athletic bigs in the league this year and that Princeton didn’t need any interior presence to be able to dominate the league. Berube is a very good coach and she could do nothing to stop the OSU post player who went absolutely crazy.

Another great season. Just watched Berube’s press conference.
Complete class. The Columbia folks who said she was similar to
Griffith as a sore loser need a reality check.
She also said she is looking forward to next year’s squad. Really hope
she stays.

You mean the 6’1" F who is not really a post player? Maybe it’s just that Princeton interior defense has been bad all year. Probably because Tall is a great player, but inside defense is her weak spot, and Charles is not at the level. Both Columbia wins over Princeton happened in similar ways. Page scored 23 and 25 points in those games. Columbia has had a significant interior presence this year.

You are a master of making up ridiculous quotes that never existed to justify your own opinions about Megan. Please move on.

Yes, I agree. But my point is Princeton did not see any interior player like Akot all year in the conference because the Ivys in general do not produce that type of player. So having poor interior defense is not as much of a detriment in the Ivys as it might be in other places.

I made up nothing. Check out Callie’s comment in the Harvardgamw thread.
You seem unhappy when others post on Clumbia’s threads, but feel free sharing
your thoughts everywhere. You can go now.

You say ā€œColumbia folksā€ when the only thing out there is a single comment of a user that is almost never there. And Callie’s comment was actually a pretty accurate and respectful description of what happened that game.

I don’t feel, I am free to share my thoughts wherever I like to. And I always do it with respect to other people around here, players and coaches. I don’t think you can say the same. In fact, you are the one who is constantly on Columbia’s threats trying to provoke everyone else. Please learn from your folks who are respectful and can hold respectful discussions about basketball topics while disagreeing with the other and avoiding sensationalism.

We will agree to disagree. I have no idea what you are talking about,
and don’t need a lecture from you. It is not sensationalism to point out that
Griffith is neither a gracious winner nor a respectful loser. You can have a
different opinion, but perhaps you should look to other role models if you are
going to appoint yourself the thought police.
