Seems like a down program after some decent years before the pandemic. Last place in America East last year. This would appear to be a strange team to play on the road to start the year and would be a very bad loss if they lose.
This is the first game of a home-and-home. NJIT will be playing a return game at the Palestra next season.
NJIT has a very good returning guard in Tariq Francis but not much returning size. They do have two 6’11” freshmen but their projected starting lineup tops out at 6’7”.
Even with all the new pieces, we should be able to score fairly easily and win. That said, this game will probably have a Vegas spread of 5-6 points. True road games are always tough, even though this will be played in front of a mostly-empty arena. (I’ll be there.)

If their ticketing system is any indication on how seriously NJIT takes basketball, this should hopefully be a good warm up for the Quakers.

Hey everybody-- first post! I’ll be there Monday night. It’s so close to home I couldn’t come up with a plausible reason to blow it off.
A new board for a new season. So is there a plan to transition over here? Or a drop dead date?
