That was just so ugly. Penn totally dictated the game, as evidenced by the lack of 3-point attempts, and just inability to play with tempo the entire game.
Hopefully that doesn’t hurt our NET ranking, or impact the committee’s perspective negatively. Because it certainly could.
Meg has been an all-time coach at Columbia. But aside from some NIT wins, hasn’t really done the job in March. Need to change that tomorrow.
That is an overstatement. Yes, it wasn’t pretty. But we had control of the game for most of it. The 3s weren’t going in, it is something that can happen. We switched to using Rafiu’s strength and Gayle’s early faults to put preasure. It worked. We won the game in the paint, which usually doesn’t happen for us, but it is also a resource.
This is a semifinal, it’s not suposed to be an easy game. And is not like Penn is a terrible team or we were about to lose. I don’t think is such a terrible game that it will hurt a lot our chances. Princeton has had several games like this throughout IL, Harvard a couple, and they are still considered in. It’s our first close game to a non top3 team. Lets not freak out too much.
Having said that, there is a lot to fix for tomorrow. Weiss needs to be more aggressive and confident. We need to fix the wide screens to set better 3 pointers. We need to close faster the defensive gap on the 3s. We need to know when to run and when to full court press. Or tomorrow we won’t win
Genuinely curious. Did you watch the game? And if you did, did you think it was a good showing? I think we should be allowed to call a spade a spade. A great team played a bad game. At least they won it.
I suspect you’re doing what you always do on this forum: Trolling.
Wipe that frown off your face, Sad. Your women are in the final.
That name was decided on during the Ivy men’s season.

So are you going to change it next week when you’re excited about the new coach?
