Lots of noise about Northwestern trying to target Carla. Not certain if there is mutual interest. We shall see.
Her career record at Princeton is 147-28, winning percentage of 84%, with 5 regular season titles (shared & outright) and 4 Ivy Tourney titles in 6 years. Maybe if she’s looking for a higher salary but ready to accept a lot of losing for a while, she might leave for Northwestern (8-21, 2-16) to compete in the Big Ten.
Carla is a wonderful person from all accounts. She has made many friends in the Princeton community and has children in the local school system. Her attachments are strong. Another position would have to be very attractive to uproot her. But, whatever. Good luck to her.

I get the money is significantly more and the Big10 gets far more attention. But the chances of success with a not historically great program, in a league with numerous strong programs and coaches, don’t seem promising to me. I would think if she’s going to leave she would look for an established program as her predecessor did. Carla’s record is better - why should she settle for less? There will be other attractive options besides UConn.
