Bez Mbeng ’25 Signs 10-Day Contract with Utah Jazz - Yale University

I know this has been mentioned in the Poulakidas topic but Bez deserves his own! Maybe this will be no more than a cup of coffee with the Jazz but what a nice accomplishment for Bez. The 2023-24 Yale team now has three NBA players, with John getting the two-way contract with the Mavs and Danny Wolf now a regular part of the Nets rotation (and sometimes starter). Kudos to James Jones and his staff for their recruiting and coaching.

Some of those P4 schools with fewer NBA players are really going to avoid scheduling the true basketball factory in Connecticut.

Poulakidas’ game translates more fluidly to the NBA obviously but love seeing Bez get a chance. He can always say he was a NBA player - hopefully he gets some run with the Jazz shenanigans.

Adam Silver announced Wolf from the University of Michigan. He left Yale for Michigan.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

wolf sat front row for the columbia game which was cool.

his parents sat in front of me in denver last march.

they arrived early to support the yale team

the original point of the thread was that yale has had 4 guys play on their team and later touch an nba floor since 2019 i think.

this is crazy for an IL team. and it helps recruiting in an otherwise difficult nil era.

perhaps one reason we have 3 legit bigs committed. we’ll see if they land on campus but this doesnt hurt
