After a disappointing first run through the league, Yale starts the second run the way they started the first: with Brown. Hopefully this will be a good game to settle things down.
They should romp.
The Howard game on Monday is…odd? Don’t remember them ever doing this.
It’s a very high bar when going 5-2, tied for first in the IL and widely favored as the ILT favorite, with an average point differential +11.7/game in conference play is disappointing. All five wins were decisive. Certainly Yale could have played better in both the Princeton and Harvard games, but 13-1 type seasons are the exception rather than the rule. Coach Jones made a similar point reflecting on the Texas A&M game – they have reached a level of success/expectation where fans were let down that they didn’t win that game. I share your enthusiasm for tonight being a complete win that sets the tone for the second half of IL play!
agree
tough bar but i think the stinker halves are surprising because like you noted it was 1h offense the last time around
hope we learn something from how both princeton and harvard played us on defense. apparently they watch film![]()
in turn i am hopeful we have improved our defense. not convinced it hasnt been on a positive trend if bumpy
we shall see![]()
Feel like they had done it on MLK in past years but Ivy had games that day this year? Could be related to that
another stinker. yikes
Townsend and Fox basically refused to lose while Brown refused to score down the stretch. Saved us from a very bad loss.
the last 5 mins of the 1h wasnt pretty.
playing w fire for sure. brown did go from make 3 to miss late but not sure we played defense
basically teams are playing to shut down drives and the paint. fox loosened it up a bit
lastly if the opposition is changing defense on occasion…we should experiment as well
