I would like to see Davis drive and dish, and I would like to see some offense from Happy/Huggins.
And maybe some of that Akron defensive intensity will rub off on us.
I’m skeptical of that spread. The 2-0 Bison are led by 2 bigs (6-11 and 6-9) for which we have no answer right now. I’m expecting another blowout loss unfortunately. Just gotta take our lumps early on.

This is the first time I plan to watch a full D3 game. It might be our only win for a while. And the only easy win of the season.
Nice start! 15-6. Love the energy and handsiness on defense. And it always helps to make a few 3s early.
Limiting shots/touches for Bucknell’s star center, which will be key. I don’t know if they can win this, but it’s nice to see some progress.

I can’t get the video to play for me, but the gamecast is showing a lot of live ball turnovers by the Tigers leading to Bucknell layups. Some steals going the other way, too, to be fair.
Good shooting covers up a lot of problems.

Looks like the rebounding effort is there tonight for the Tigers.
Up 5 at the half is a relief given the inexperience of the group at closing out halves and games. Not sure why DD shot a jumper with 17 seconds left, though….
Great box outs and Huggins drawing tons of fouls inside. Abdullahi has also been great so far.
If it weren’t for the awful TOs that led to Bucknell 3-4 buckets, they’d be up 10+ instead of 5.
I still think we lose tonight - Davis still not looking confident - but even this half of hoops was a BIG improvement from the opener.

When Davis gets hot, he’s unstoppable. But we have yet to see that guy so far.
