Columbia at NDSU

Flawless first quarter. Broom is thriving as a starter once again. We need an adjustment on defense to deal with Koenen but amazing defense so far.

Lions shooting the lights out.

No one can stop us right now. Where was this team when we faced Harvard lol?

I apologize for repeating myself:

I think Mia has to be considered a pre-season 1st team All-Ivy heading into next season.

Also, Nasi Simmons is a great player on both ends of the floor. She may be a poor shooter (seemed lost at the foul line), but she is so quick and dynamic driving to the basket I would consider her a tremendous offensive player. Her points scored per minutes played are very high.

Dont mean to be negative now, but it reflects poorly on Meg that she didn’t play Mia and Nasi more. Maybe we would have won an IL title if she expanded her bench minutes or changed up the starting lineup.

As I posted early in the season, our strength was our depth but Meg didnt untilize it enough.

Finally, I think Perri’s jersey number should be retired. HOF career.

Maybe you should shoot Meg an email about how to utilize the bench better and Mia and Nasi. She’d probably appreciate your input.

In addition to Broom’s improvement, is there any chance we might get a transfer to further improve next year’s outlook?

I hope so. I’ve been asking around, but not much yet as the portal is still not open. Don’t know how we will be in terms of roster size, as I could imagine not everyone might be here next year.

Hey people, this is a time to celebrate, not criticize. For whatever reasons Columbia his played incredibly well in the last two games. I thought the Lions were magnificent at home against a talented St. Johns squad Thursday night, but they played even better against North Dakota State in Fargo this afternoon. In the post-game press conference, a local journalist aptly described the Lions as a “three-headed monster” named “Perri Page, Mia Broom and Riey Weiss.” That was indeed a very apt description
