This team’s problems are more mental than anything. Look at Dartmouth - that’s what happens when you play and shoot with confidence.
Our team has collapsed. Pierce’s injuries and Mitch poor coaching have sapped their confidence. Take Cornell’s players off the court and our guys still couldn’t shoot 50%.
This is in Henderson. Same MO. Substituting in and out. Nobody under the basket. And Peters has shot once

Time to bring in Carla for some defense fundamentals. I don’t think that this team can beat Cornell. Brian must have passed on his secrets to his successor
Even good coaches end up leaving good programs - sometimes you need a shakeup.
The successful seasons the program has had during his tenure are mostly due to recruiting by Earl and then MacConnell. He deserves some credit for hiring them, but he keeps getting outcoached and the players look sad and miserable.
He’s lost the locker room, so to speak.
When you play like crap, the refs treat you like crap.
Lee gets knocked to the floor on a made 3… no call. Noard gets knocked to the floor on a made 3. Immediate 4pt play.
Mad Mitch substituting like crazy. No flow whatever. Friday he brought two in for two. This is embarrassing to say the least
A little momentum at the end… no thanks to our coach.
If only Mitch didn’t begin the game with his boneheaded “play scared and slow while feeding Pierce and Jack Scott” strategy.
Get Lee going from the first possession. Get Peters going early. Then worry about banged up Pierce. And for the love of good, don’t play Jack Scott! I know who his daddy is - that’s not enough to earn minutes.
This is like watching “Groundhog Day”. Maybe best not making ILT and encourage Pierce (and maybe Lee and Davis) to develop into the emotional leaders next season. There is too much talent on this team to have a repeat next year.
Doubling in the post is tantamount to handing Cornell open three point shots. Better to give up some two pointers.

I don’t trust Mitch not to fumble it again. He might win 11-12 games with healthy Pierce and senior Lee but he’ll lose to Jones/Jaques/McLaughlin in the ILT.
After Caden started 0-3 with 2 TOs (and 2 missed FTs), he’s hit 5-6 FGs.
It’s not just injuries. You can’t make shots when you’re overthinking every layup and open 3.
Today is just about getting some confidence back, win or lose. If they beat Penn on Senior Day (no guarantee), they’ll be in the ILT. But they need to have FUN again.
I’m convinced your answer to why I get crabgrass is that Lee didn’t get the ball sooner.

How many points is Byriel going to give up?

How dare I suggest our top scorer get the ball instead of starting every game 10-0 before he shoots once.
If Byriel doesn’t make 3s, he’s Jack Scott-levels of negative.
Pierce 0-4 at the line… that says it all. This team is mentally broken.
Caden oh for four from the line today after going six for six on Friday. Tell me this game isnt mental.
Byriel gives up a basket every possession he’s in. It’s incredible
Tigers lose the first four minutes of the second half 10-0. Cornell shooting up to 67% for the game. Tigers shooting 38%.
Wasn’t he something like 1-5 his first shots of the game?
Caden with 4 TOs (5 really) to boot. That last charge was embarrassing.
On the bright side, losing this game all but ensures we can only get the #4 seed.
Don’t need to face Cornell again. I’d rather face Yale. Mitch can’t figure out Brian Earl’s system. Even the games they’ve won are due to massively superior talent.
