Cornell

I don’t know. I remember he made his 2nd shot, but I definitely remember we were down 10-0 when he finally got a FGA with Pierce missing 3 shots and 2 TOs before that.

i would rather face princeton.

good luck against penn!

BEAT PENN! I really don’t care about the ILT at this point but I do want to beat the Quakers and even up the all-time series.

Davis needs to go to transfer. Lee should go to NBA if they’ll still have him and Caden/-don’t know what’s best for him. And then there’s the coaching. Maybe biggest issue. Too much second guessing

For the record, I think both Yale and Cornell would probably wreck this team.

But Cornell’s style of play is just death for us. Too fast, too many 3s. At least Yale doesn’t shoot 30-40 threes. If Cornell is hot, there’s absolutely nothing we can do.

ILT - if they make it - will merely please gluttons for punishment. Tigers will have lost to the other ILT teams by 27, 15, and __ (today 25+?) in most recent games, plus by 20 to Brown.

cornell is scary. no doubt

guess there was a reason mitch voted them ahead of yale preseason

Cornell now shooting 70.2% for the game and 63% from 3. That will beat anybody in the league.

Yeah, no one was beating Cornell today - their Senior Day. As I said at the top of the thread, I’m not even bummed about a loss - being the #4 seed might actually help.

I’m just bummed to see zero fight in the team. And another big deficit to start the game - with Mitch coming out with a really bad strategy (even Savage mentioned it).

Who will be held accountable?

Probably no one. Mitch is going to dine out on that Sweet 16 run for a decade.

I’d love to see what Earl or MacConnell would do with this group.

Princeton’s defense has looked best when we are trapping full or half court. Obviously that is a high risk/reward strategy but the alternative is ugly.

Notice how C Coach leaves his starters in to raise score and up 3 pt total. And as to my last post./-I test my case. You are seeing next year’s time right now

Even when they do trap and pressure, it’s almost never aggressive. Mitch has talked about his emphasis on foul avoidance… which has doomed this squad.

Davis suddenly getting his shot back. Let’s hope that continues.

Imagine an alternative universe in which Princeton played full-court press and trapping half court zone the entire game and played 10 guys to keep the players relatively fresh. It may not end any better but I don’t see how it could be any worse.

Nothing matters in garbage time

Per gokinsmen and this post - “foul avoidance” makes sense with the classic Princeton rotation strategy - BUT that makes more sense when the offense was so structured and slow. This Princeton team does have a lot of players who could contribute if given minutes.

Get real

This team needs an exorcist.
