4-10 from the line, including 2 missed 1-and-1s.
So basically 4-12. Yikes.

I expected some hiccups early on but not a half this ugly.
Iona looks sharp and experienced despite having all new players. Our guys look like they’ve never practiced together. For example, they twice missed Abdullahi open for dunks in transition and don’t know how to break a press with passes over the top.
He has quite the defensive responsibility, and is getting torched, which is probably messing with his equanimity.
Remove Njie from Iona, and the game is close.
He’s been on fire for sure. But we just look very touch-and-go. Body language is really bad.
I hope they have some Furman game magic in them. Lee and Pierce need to take over.
Reminds me of the first half against Navy 2022–down 20 at the half. Hope we can come back.
Iona has been hitting everything. Reversion to the mean (helped by better D), fewer TOs and some 3s could get the Tigers back in this game.
The press is destroying us. Hasn’t been a problem for many years… now it is.
Did they not practice this? They look completely confused as to what to do.
The trap starts almost to mid-court, and the wings are covered 2-2-1. Need wings at the baseline, IMHO.
Deficit down to 7 with the ball.
I really like Abdullahi - once he gets more run alongside his teammates, he’s going to be such a weapon in transition.
I wonder if he decided he wasn’t recovered enough to have much PT? Better save eligibility rather than ride the bench.
TIE GAME with 10:39 left.
Great response. Iona finally missing some shots and our guys turning up the defensive heat.
Alright. Clean slate. Just win these final 11 minutes.
Huggins also looking good and playing tough, nice to have some options down low along with Abdullahi
Huggins looks great, very impressed. Just need to shoot 50% on those FTs.
8-17 FTs, ugh
FTs are gonna cost us this game.
Lee trying to will us to victory… but we need 1 more FT and a stop.
THANK THE LORD
(The Lord being Xaivian Lee)
And THAT is why Xaivian is going to the NBA.
Hard to feel great about a 1-point win tonight but at least now we know exactly how far Xaivian-Pierce can carry this team when literally everything else goes wrong
Peters looked very off–shots were not even close. Davis was spotty. We need those two to be reliable.
