We were super small last year too. But we were tough with a beautiful offense.
This year’s team is neither.

This year’s team is neither.
Blake is 1 for 5 from 3, keeps letting his man get offensive rebounds, but he dove on the floor and ripped the ball away on defense that time.
Down four. Game can go sideways real quickly here.
Martini was not small man. Stop.
He was a 6-7 center. That’s undersized.
And Mush was a 6-4 guy guarding SFs.
Blake finally hits an open 3! We need a lot more of that.
Martini was a beast of a 6’7" 5, though. The fact that he is starting for Rutgers speaks for itself.
Down 9. We look totally rattled. Texas State is jumping for joy on the bench.
It’s a funeral on our sideline.
So much for that hot start. I’m just baffled how they showed so much grit in the first 5 games.
Like Scott, Hicke falls in love with dribbling sometimes and gets the ball stolen from him.
This is embarrassing. Texas State is missing a lot of guys due to injury to boot.
Texas State plays very good defense, even without a shot blocker.
Rutgers lists Martini at 6’ 8"
Pierce isn’t contributing anything. Not sure what’s wrong with him lately.
No excuse tonight - no true bigs for Texas State.
And now he makes an awful TO leading to a layup.
This team has lost all of its confidence.
This may not be a team worth following game to game.
At least Lee has found his finishing touch again.
Debatable. Almost every shot near the rim is off balance unfortunately.
Randolph Childress: “This is not the Princeton team I saw in any of their games.”
Something is seriously wrong with this team. They’ve played equally good or better teams and they didn’t look this bad.
Another team-wide bout of norovirus? I hope it’s something like that because this kind of mental breakdown is just hard to watch.
He’s missed his last three. Bad shot selection, probably because no one else can score.
Very good point.
Really missing Alloco and Martini, two of the all time great “glue guys” the Tigers have ever had. Who is the vocal leader this year that can rally the team when things go sideways? Seems like a team of quiet guys who can do great things on their own but the sum is less than the parts.
Lee taking over. Not sure if it’ll be enough. But at least it’s not the total quit fest of last night.
