After tonight’s stinker, it feels like they’ll lose by 20+ tomorrow. But who knows?
It’s been a flukey season with flukey results and with NBA scouts in attendance, maybe Xaivian actually shows up (though they’re probably losing interest). Poulakidas had an off-night (4-15, 0-6 from 3) vs. Penn. Why couldn’t he save that for us?
Oh well. It’s been a disappointing season with some major highlights (St. Joe’s, Rutgers, Lee’s game-winning 3s). I’ll be happy with an exciting game, win or lose. I just don’t want to get punked on national TV (if ESPNU counts as national TV).
After tomorrow, the Tigers could easily be just a single game ahead of both Brown and Harvard for the last spot in Ivy Madness and Brown now holds the tie-breaker over Princeton because they beat Cornell. If Harvard splits with the Tigers, they too would have a tie-breaker over Princeton from their win over Cornell.
The coaches need to get our guys’ heads turned around or this will slide away from them.
Maybe it’ll take that desperation to snap them out of it.
Even now, as awful as they look, they’re still comfortably in control of an ILT berth. Put them in desperation mode and maybe they’ll look like their best selves again. Is Princeton this year’s Brown?
I repeat my suggestion that MH come out in scramble/pressure mode and tell the team that if they are trailing after three minutes they will be running gassers the next day.
It is 8 now. Yale could be really mad. Who knows where Princeton is at this point? You will see way more minutes from John, Bez and Nick. Yale should rule the paint big-time. Game will be sold out and students very rowdy rooting for their guy, Jack Molloy and getting free pizza.
Sounds like just the kind of rowdy, noisy atmosphere that brings out the best in this team. Just a little wishful thinking to prepare myself for whatever happens this evening.
Looking for a major rebound game for the Tigers but there are just so many questions. Will X play with energy or look like he was up all night checking his social media mentions? Can the team eliminate the unforced turnovers? With they feed Yale predictable shots they can easily swat away (Brown blocked 7 shots last night)? Can they make shots? Will Mitch wait until its too late to throw pressure at the Yalies?
The Tigers have been their best this year in hostile gyms (Rutgers at the Rock and at St. Joes) so maybe they’ll be inspired tonight.
Big Green trouncing Big Red at the half: 44-18 (!!). Cornell looks totally gassed despite their depth.
Are some teams just wiped out by stomach flu this week? It’s been going around worse than usual this year. Or maybe it really is all mental/emotional. Big Green could beat anyone in the league right now.
Welp, put this one in the books. Yale routing us despite Poulakidas having another off-night.
I just hope Lee puts on a show in the 2nd half. At least that’ll be a little fun to watch.
I don’t care if Xaivian shoots 10-30. Just let him cook - I’m sick of Pierce and Peters bricking everything. Lee is literally the only Tiger with more than 1 bucket.
