Harvard @ Princeton

6’11” Will Higgs and two big 3 star point guards.

Let’s go!

No, I won’t. Not after the massive choke jobs of 2022 and 2024, the disappointment of 2025 and the Joe Scott-level humiliation of 2026. I don’t care if he schedules a patty cake non-conference to win 20 games and loses in the ILT as usual. Big whoop.

He needs to make up for his many failures in a big way next season. Anything less than tying Harvard for 1st place and winning the ILT should be a fireable offense. It’s clear that the fluke Sweet 16 run made him complacent and entitled. I’m sure he’s already working on his excuses for next season. The 6-11 center will be a freshman and needs 2 more years to develop blah blah…

Why is this not on Verbal Commits?? He committed several months ago!

This was the hardest part of the game to watch. Next hardest was watching Hicke get double teamed from the blind side and not feeling it coming.

Best move of the night.

Higgs was getting looks from high majors sophomore year then missed his entire junior year with an ACL injury so might have fallen under the radar.

I don’t know this kids game so can’t make any comparisons but Princeton had extraordinary success with a couple of players who had injuries in high school and ended up at Princeton in part because of that. (One of them was at the game last night).

From the limited video I have seen, he looks strong but not especially fluid.
He seems to have an outside shot, but not great plot moves. Both Kellmam and
Aririgouzah developed those under Mitch. He looks like he could be a useful
piece, but probably not a freshman star. If he gives us some minutes and fouls
as part of a “center by Committee” trio with Happy and Huggins (ther three Hs) next
year, it is a big plus.

With all due respect, I hope that I never sit next to GK at any Princeton athletic event.

The DD turnovers, which were live-ball brain cramps directly leading to something like 6-10 Harvard points, drove me nuts. And as usual, I cannot fathom the lack of tactical changes to wake the team up when they start to falter or at least to make the opponent change what they are doing. Age and seniority are not good excuses when Hinton, a sophomore, is running wild.
