Harvard

Poor outside shooting and gave up too many easy ones on defense. Harvard seemed to have a lot of uncontested chances inside the arc and Barbour couldn’t miss from three. But the foul shooting disparity (in both attempts and quality) was huge in a game where Brown took an incredible 18 more shots from the field than Harvard did.

Lewis with 30 was a force. He also got a lot of good passes to get there. They prioritized him and that part worked.

Looks like I was wrong about Uchidiuno being better off the bench. He’s just in a rut right now and it would seem that they need to rebalance the shot selection to help him. Kind of what they’ve tried doing with Langham. The threes just won’t fall right now.

Lewis had no help, but Harvard’s D was pretty good. Uchidiuno, JJ, MWJ, and Rochester combined for 0 points. That just can’t happen!

Offensive performance on offense. We had open shots but rarely converted. No team can win like that.

Great to see Russ Tyler honored. He’s awesome!

Was Uchidiano expected to be a three point specialist? He gets a steady green light from three but shoots a consistently poor percentage, about 26%.

In his defense, he was 7 for 16 in the first two games of conference play. But, to your point, he has since shot 12%, 4 for 34 and counting.

If he’s legitimately a good shooter, it’s a weird trend. The percentage last year was about the same: 25.9%. It seems like they should just throw caution to the wind here, shake things up a bit, and start giving heavy minutes to O’Sullivan and Langham, who will be key to a turnaround next year.
