Are you talking about the call that Townsend got when he could easily have been called for a charge late in the 2nd half? I thought that was a gift to Yale by the refs.
Nope. OT call, The game was already in hand but Townsend got a rebound and dribbled twice before the ref called him for a push off.
I know, just pointing out that Yale in my view got a pretty important call down the stretch when Howard was up that definitely helped the Bulldogs.

Well, of course there was also the phantom offensive foul underneath late in the second half, where Samson was called for an elbow that wasn’t thrown.

Yeah, on the telecast they were making a big deal about another Duke guy (Amaker) who was the last guy to take Jones down and in general playing up the Duke connections all over.

I don’t recall this Yale team having occasional to put on a full court press before but they showed they’ve got some ability to do so effectively. There were times when they reminded me of the Yale win over Penn in 2020 (just before Covid shut things down) when Yale went from ten down with 1:40 to go and won by three.
