An odd post-New Year noncon game in DC for the Bulldogs. The last trip to DC involved some heartburn against a mediocre Howard team, but this Howard team seems to have a bit more bite. Will be an interesting test.
I’m all for going deep into the bench today.
Ignoring the game, the announcers have called Samson “Aletwan” about a dozen times and it’s driving me insane.
The color guy for Howard is extremely colorful, excitable and down to earth! I guess we won’t be seeing him on the BBC anytime soon, but he’s very entertaining.
as painful as the mispronunciations are…guy knows ball
big 3 pointer for howard.
Yale should win this one going away in the second half. Too sloppy with the ball, that’s letting Howard stay in this for now.
howard coach knows yale schemes
he is leveraging the uri playbook. go small and get under them. and refs letting them be very handsy
he also switches up d to minimize inside mismatches. good game plan
I don’t think Yale will give up a more open 3 all year. The Howard shooter literally could have taken 10 seconds to get that one off.
helps when you get perhaps the worst call i have ever seen on aletan
my lawd. home cooking
kid reached in and almost got aletan thrown out for chinning the ball
dont see that in middle school
Howard has hung in there, this is a real James Jones rock fight kind of game.
Well, that was quite the game saving bailout 3 by Braithwaite there.
Well, the color guy did say earlier in the half that he thought the game could very well go to OT.
Boy howdy was it ever. What a frustrating game so far. Howard is a tough-nosed team, but we should be winning this comfortably.
That’s what I thought would happen in the second half, too. But too many turnovers kept Howard in it, and Howard has also shot pretty well overall from distance.
Howard misses two very easy layups on straight possessions, looks like Yale will have the edge coming down the stretch of OT.
Mullin has been unbelievable the past couple weeks. Completely changes our offense and spacing with how well he’s shooting from the 1.
Hopefully this is a good vibes win and carries us into the Ivy tournament.
The reffing was just plum awful tonight, by the way. Made me long for Ivy League refs.
That was a great game to watch. I’m not sure I expected Yale to struggle the way it did, but it was entertaining for sure.
The incredibly late offensive rebound foul on Townsend was the cherry on top
