The men host Joe Jones’ BU Terriers tonight. Assume we are slight favorites but expect a tight game.
I believe this is Joe’s first time back on the sidelines since he left Columbia. It’s been a while but hope he gets a nice response from the Levien faithful.

I hope so too. Joe was well-liked around the program and had a few good seasons.
Columbia leads Boston University at halftime 37-20. Columbia is dominating BU in every aspect of the game.
BU is cutting into the Lions’ lead in the second half resulting in a Lions time out. Coach Hovde instructions work as Lions pull back ahead by 13 points. BU has a pretty good seven foot center, but the Lions are doing a fairly good job of containing him. Columbia’s home announcer, a/k/a as the “King of Cliches” appears to be rooting for BU. Suddenly his “drought’ pronouncement holds true as Columbia goes without a basket for several minutes. Fortunately for the Lions they settle down after a Hovde time out to win 54-49.

Good defensive effort by both teams. We gave up almost 80 a game last year so holding anyone to 49 is tremendous.
Newsflash, when a team doesn’t score a basket for a lengthy period of time, it’s considered a drought, which is a basketball fact supported by evidence, not an opinion. You clearly can’t comprehend that because you’re so busy being a troll and a loser on a mid-major basketball message board, who timidly hides behind a screen and wouldn’t be caught saying any of that junk in person because you’re a loser with no life. Literally, look in the mirror and reevaluate your life. You run to a message board to type nonsense because you’re a miserable human being (a term used very loosely), who either lives in their mother’s basement or is an elder cocker. Still debating. I thought the three 3 stooges were dead. I’m mistaken, they’re alive and well like cockroaches in hiding on a message board of all places. You act like a basketball expert. I can’t believe no one has hired you to coach a prominent program or in the NBA and, instead, left you in hiding on a message board. What are they thinking. Such criminal behavior. You’re not Red Holzman and I hate to break it to you, he’s dead too. Grow up if you actually can.

Yes and no, the defense was nothing crazy but a 1 to 1 all the time. I was not happy at all about the game. We played an spectacular 10-15 min, completely crashing BU, and then decided is was too easy and thought every shot was going to fall. After that, the offense was very poor. BU didn’t look like a good team all game and we only managed to score 54 points against them. This team is very talented and has a high cap, but really needs to work on the mental side.
A part from that, shootout to Soulis, who played a very good game and was the only player who really was able to stop their 7 foot center.
You have to be happy about the defensive effort. I don’t recall a better defensive performance in several years.
