Women travel to play Manhattan and the men host Hofstra.
Travel is a huge statement hahaha
Noland did not call bank at the end of the half but that buzzer beating three was a real exclamation point on a solid 10 point halftime lead.
Quite the game. Columbia led wire to wire but had to hang on for dear life down the stretch.
Very exciting game for sure. Hofstra is very talented team that just came off a double digit win over Penn. Give Hofstra credit for fighting back from a double digit deficit. And, congratulations, of course, to the Lions and Coach Hovde and his coaching staff for this very nice win.
The beatdown Penn took from Hofstra was the third game in three days for both teams. Iâd be interested in seeing a rematch when both teams arenât dealing with that level of fatigue. It clearly affected Penn more than it did Hofstra.
Even with that, though, Columbia is clearly the better team. Penn will be lucky to split with the Lions this year.

Didnât the pollsters have Columbia finishing last place in the Ivy League? What did they miss?
They also had Harvard 2nd, Princeton 4th and Penn 7th. Most of âem probably want a mulligan at this point.
Hurts us to not have Bedri in particular. That said, our frontline has been stout in his absence. Soulis was tremendous tonight, Ritter and Igoe made some big plays late. Igoeâs offensive rebound that led to Franklinâs bucket was huge. As always, Blair was very solid. Itâs also nice to see Nweke back and contributing.
Nweke looked like an imposing defensive force. I was very surprised to look him up and see that he is listed at âonlyâ 6 foot 7.
Awesome win to keep the run. The game got ugly at the end. Not a fan of the kind of dirty Hofatra gameplay. Specially their coach, he was yelling at the refs for the entire game and somehow escaped the tech. On that note, pretty terrible referee lineup. They were calling ridiculous things
Took another look at the end of the Columbia-Hofstra game this morning on the replay feature on ESPN+ What a treat to see Columbia pull out this exciting win after a decade or so of misery. Hofstra put up a tremendous fight at the end of the game, but the Lions did even better. Everyone contributed to this great winââeveryoneâ-Noland, Franklin, Ritter, Thompson, Sanders, Igoe, Nweke, OâKeefe (hopefully I didnât forget anyone)
