TJ and Klatsky not involved. Nor is Slotsky. Looks like it is down to 3, a D-3 coach and 2 D-1 assistant or associate coaches with one from the Ivy.

I thought Martin squeezed a lot out of what he had. Whether he should have had more is a different question, but I never anticipated or felt after a Brown game that they weren’t very prepared and playing hard.

One Brown fan’s view.
Mike was a good coach for Brown. He had enough good moments and seasons to make me feel good about our team over his tenure.
Thing he did best in the 2nd part of his tenure was find the athletic guy who was raw and maybe undersized and turn him into something. Choh was the best example of that. So was Cedric. Gainey. All those guys were under-recruited and turned into feared All-Ivy players. And they all got a lot better from freshman to senior year because the staff built them.
And recruiting guys like Kino and Dez who nobody had heard of.
He brought a professionalism and a builder’s mindset to Brown hoops. He reengaged alums. Some of it was maybe the basics but that was more than we’d had.
Cheers to Mike Martin for a great run. I actually think it’s good for both Mike and the program for him to move on. But we’ll miss that guy.

An amusing footnote to this story: yesterday, the Senate (with support from 10 Democrats) confirmed President Trump’s nominee Michael Martin for a judgeship on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. It clearly has been a big week for the Michigan Michael Martins!
Mike is a Brown legend who produced great men. It’s a shame we didn’t close out against Yale, but he helped build a culture to be proud of.
Reveno seems like a great hire. Looking forward to the season.
If the Reveno rumor is true, Reveno did as well or better in terms of overall wins and losses for Portland as head coach as most coaches in that program’s history.
