Monmouth

Opens Princeton -14 1/2 O/U 147

Huggins doubles off the pick so very quickly.

Good, active defense to start. But not making our open 3s.

And still too tentative on offense, leading to bad TOs. Overthinking, overpassing.

Espn stats say 0 offensive RBs. Is that rihjt?

2 ORs for each team now.

Underwhelming but not awful first half. Defense was mostly there, especially in the paint. Offense just missing on its 3s and FTs.

Still don’t have much chemistry, leading to bad TOs and iffy shot selection. Hopefully that improves with the rotation settling in.

Nice two-for-one at the end of the half. Too many turnovers and too many drives and open treys allowed on D, but the defensive rebounding has been top notch. Pierce is not in offensive rhythm and they are really trying too hard to get close-in shots instead of penetrating and passing out for treys.

Pierce is so off lately. Making TOs on dumb passes, missing bunnies, lacking aggression on both ends.

Another case where Lee should have just shot the open trey instead of dribbling into trouble with the shot clock running down. Shoot!

Bashir killing us. More terrible TOs - this time from Lee.

The offense looks clueless.

I have no idea why Lee is so averse to shooting 3s this year. His stepbacks are so sweet and he can get separation on anyone

I do like Lee cutting hard down the lane without the ball. But everybody is so sloppy catching the ball and also dribbling into crowds without a plan. But Peters is nails tonight.

Pierce picks up his dribble and the paint and just stops.

Constantly. Every game. It’s brutal.

Lee misses the most wide open 3 in history. Then Pierce misses the easy putback.

This team is in trouble. They’re mentally cooked.

Team doesn’t know what to do when the 3’s aren’t dropping.

Pierce with yet another awful TO in the paint.

What is wrong with him lately?

Has he not seen double teams previously? Seems clueless.

The spacing isn’t great, but the way the players aren’t anticipating the help defense at all is disturbing. This is D1 basketball and these are experienced guys.

That’s why I’m so worried about this team. They’re falling apart mentally.

And Pierce of all people is the one who’s making the most mistakes.

I just hope they can escape tonight and regroup over the 10-day break.
