First time since 2013 that Penn beat Dartmouth at home in football. Turnovers made the difference in a very entertaining game. Watching Princeton-Columbia the night before, both of these teams were better than those two. Harvard is the team to beat, though–destroyed Holy Cross today and looks like the best team in the league. With an FCS playoff spot finally on the line, the Ivy League race might be more important than The Game.
After watching so many Penn - Dartmouth games where our special teams were the problem, it was an unexpected pleasure watching the tables turn.
As an aside, the old bb board was resurrected from the dead today.
It’s going to take a little while. Steve Robinson and I had a conference call with Jake Wilson and got the information to reactivate it. Still not accepting posts, but will happen sooner rather than later, I hope.
Godspeed
We are back up and working.
Hmmm…was working for me before. I even posted a “testing” message on one of the channels. Right now, however, I’m getting an error that looks like this. Anyone else seeing this?
try it again- pretty sure I have it fixed at Bball-U
Works.
Thanks!
Great win over columbia, this team seems to comeup with the big plays on both sides of ball which previous teams couldnt. They had every opportunity to fold after the horrific punt attempt.
If they could keep the turnovers down to a dull roar, they might have a puncher’s chance to take out Harvard.
I have to agree… between the fumbles and O’Brien’s questionable decisions; they will have to clean this up and hope Harvard has as little success covering Richardson as everyone else has.
Penn has four weeks to get ready for Harvard. As for Yale, we’re just honored Penn will play us at the Bowl on Saturday. No need for the Quakers to be too concerned.
Saw that Juice Stokes broke his fibula. That’s a tough guy to replace.
you can’t replace almost 30 yds per punt return; but they have some pretty good running back options.
Looking forward to balance of ivy play, some good teams and playoff posibilities
Hope Quakers can make the Harvard game meaningful
Yeah, pretty clear that Coach Reno will put this thread on the blackboard in the locker room!
Columbia getting almost historically thrashed up at Dartmouth, down 42-0 relatively early in the 3rd. I remember games in the rain at Dartmouth against Penn, but nothing ever like this.
