Iād rather watch my team get blown out in March by a 3-seed than watch it fire its best recruiter, alienate its best player into sitting out the season and go 9-20.

Illinois should wināit barely turns the ball over, and gets a ton of offensive boardsābut Penn has two things going for it. Those are that Illinois plays very, very slowly, and doesnāt force any turnovers itself.
Favorites generally want more possessions so thereās less chance for variance. Now, the fact that Illinois doesnāt create any turnovers pretty much makes up the for the fact that they donāt turn it over themselves. So itāll really be about whether Penn can keep them off the offensive glass, and hit enough threes. A puncherās chance.

The players speak just past the 4 hour, 34 minute mark. The coachās remarks are at approximately 4 hours, 50 minutes. The newsworthy remarks have already been noted.
The good news is Fran will know Illinois well having coached against them every year before this year. Should be an advantage for Penn similar to scouting an Ivy League opponent where familiarity is high.
