Penn-Illinois

Let’s Go Penn!!

Power is going to play. Here we go!

Illinois’ Kylan Boswell played for Arizona in 2023. Will history repeat itself?

Power does look under the weather when they show him up close. Tough start for Levine with the fouls, they’re looking to attack him with size every time.

Penn needs to make shots.

Loving Zenonis game right now

Penn is finding a way to stay in it, severely undermanned, and again the bench is really coming through in a big, big way.

Need to box out!

9-0 run to get back in it!

Power not involved much yet. Seems like he’s really drained and mostly serving as a decoy.

Maybe he gets a second wind after halftime.

I was really worried about AJ getting into early foul trouble against such a big lineup. If they have any chance of winning, they will need a spark from him in the second half.

They said Power had a “stomach bug” but was feeling better today. Probably lost some weight over the past week.

All things considered, down 40-30 ain’t bad. Power not himself but still hit 2 threes to keep it within striking distance.

Illinois is as advertised: tons of offensive boards, not forcing many TOs (until the last 2 minutes). They struggled with Penn’s zone but that also gives up more second chances.

Pulling for a miracle in the 2nd half. Gonna need more Zanoni and more Power 3s.

Summoning the Lucas Lueth takeover that we all know is in there!

Jones has been ineffective. I think the ankle may still be bothering him. Thrower needs to make some plays. Hopefully, Levine can push the pace and not get deeper into foul trouble.

I didn’t mind that illegal screen by Gerhart. Sends a message that we’ll play physically as well. Just need to be careful about deeper foul trouble.

Zenonis the guy tonight. Needs to take 75% of their shots remainder of game if they are going to have a chance. Nobody else really doing anything.

Levine a huge liability

Thrower’s gotta step up too. He had 19 vs. Yale and he’s a senior. Win or lose, don’t let this game pass without saying you gave it your all.

OK, but to be fair 19 was his career high as a Quaker.

That was a nice move right there by Thrower, with a chance for the and 1.
