Penn next year and others

Thanks for videos, id like to see Ubochi get a shot this year
Hopefully zannoni can pick up some of lost scoring from sam

Zanoni does have a smooth, high-release three. Hope to see more of him next season.

Cathedral Classic opponents (11/28-11/30): La Salle, Merrimack, Hofstra

I don’t want to criticize any of the kids, but do you really think that a few guys who couldn’t get on the floor for a bad team are likely to help us become a good team? I can see off the bench roles for these guys, but if they are starting, we’re not making Ivy Madness.

Zanoni was coming along well and had just dropped 27 on Penn State when he got mono. I would say there’s a good chance he starts next season and is a positive contributor. Ubochi I would expect nothing from.

Thrower looks healthy.

Was his injury ever disclosed?

Doghouse disease.

Hand injury, why burn a year of eligibility..

New cc transfer lucas leuth , 6 7 guard/f

Zanoni had mono. Out 7 weeks and lost 25 lbs.

Excited about the new JUCO transfer. Long / athletic which is exactly what they didn’t have last year. New staff is recruiting very intentionally / team will look much different.

I definitely saw Thrower with his arm/hand/wrist area in a sling over the course of the season. Must’ve been pretty serious, given that he lost the entire season.

Correct. Never heard exactly what it was, but he had various medical items on his lower arm throughout the season. Was always on the bench in street clothes. He should now have an extra year to play as a grad transfer, if he wants to go that route.

Fran is telling people internally that he expects to contend for the Ivy title next year. He feels very good about the additions to the roster and what he can with them and the existing pieces he has in place. He believes TJ Power will make a significant impact and along with the addition of Payton Kamin and returners like Ethan Roberts, he thinks they are a title contender. As far as recruiting, his approach is to turn over rocks to find the prospects that slip through the high major cracks and will value the Penn proposition. He understands full well the NIL challenges and how to navigate them. He has a ton of enthusiasm and energy as does his staff. Spurlock and Luber are relentless recruiters and will make a big difference (which was the main impetus for the change). I don’t know how it will play out but Fran is saying and doing all the right things.

This team is clearly heading in the right direction. Will it play out this year? No idea. But there is a new level of professionalism around the program.
