Penn

Just one game this weekend as Penn comes to New Haven tomorrow night. I suppose we should be grateful for the new Ivy calendar, because it might keep Nick from missing too many games.

Even with Townsend you guys are favored by 9.5 points.

dear james, switch a defense occasionally and maybe dont play 2 6’11 5s at the same time.

beyond bizarre against this personnel.

and self defeating

These must be the least prepared broadcast announcers ever. Initially thought Townsend was playing and then wondered why he wasn’t. Clueless.

Also confusing Casey, Isaac, Jordan on several instances. Meanwhile Nick is in the huddle wearing sweatpants/street clothes. Announcers oblivious to his injury.

you have 2 fouls each on your best perimeter defenders.

was your best chance to protect them bc of matchups

substitution patterns are just bizarre. gross

seems arrogant. townsend out which you knew all week.

seems most logical given the individual matchups to experiment defensively rather than being forced to play certain guys.

and i dont really understand who is playing and why other than the foul trouble. but that doesnt explain post to offense. putting a freshman in who shoots an airball 3 and hasnt played in forever

-5 is a gift but hard to be excited if foul trouble gets worse.

Announcers certainly baffling. Besides not reading their own press release on Townsend they are showing graphics of scenarios where Yale clinches and ILT spot that include Brown beating Princeton (which happened yesterday). Pretty clueless all around.

PBP guy can’t even pronounce New Haven properly.

cant buy a wide open 3 but getting plenty of opps

Is calling Penn “Pennsylvania” a faux pas? Announcer is doing it a lot and I’m just so used to everyone calling them Penn

I think Isaac read the board this week. Man, has he been good.

All I’ll say about the commentary is that I thought that goaltend was a legal block…until those two said they agreed with me.

Filthy move by Isaac. That was a no..no..no..yes type of shot

I’ll take a win when we didn’t shoot well and didnt have Townsend. On our instagram, he warmed up before the game so I’d guess he’s back next week.

i was kind of wrong. the foul trouble made defending their offense difficult. but we rose up.

shot awful on many open 3s we usually make.

but yale won that game because it has an Isaac Celiscar. and penn does not.

the board can read all my posts and just be thankful we have him. for now. that is a grown ass man.

an an addendum doing it without townsend and shooting like that on open 3s is encouraging. casey simmons also helps. and brathwaite last foul withstanding, can play some d man

and my townsend source proved to be correct. they knew it on monday when the cat scan came back.

It’s not a faux pas in, in fact, I kinda like it better than “Penn”. FWIW, I was thrilled when Fran brought back the unis with “PENNSYLVANIA” spelled across the front.

and for those still questioning celiscar…the big money UM booster who i sat next too in denver who contributed directly to the danny wolf fund. loves celiscar. he aint alone.

he treated a duke/uva portal guy like a pin ball under the rim.

Not a challenge on that front—Power is soft, soft, soft, which is probably the main reason why he’s not at Duke or UVA anymore.

maybe but i wasnt trying to malign power.

he is a very skilled big which is why he was recruited like he was and why i felt without townsend we needed to show different looks.

but on celiscar…the efficiency is frightening. and that is without a reliable 3 ball. this is the what if… and we can only others dont ask it given his bro transferred 2x in power 4 football
