Big change. She was a good teamate. I’m sure it’s the right move for her, but also I suppose a Columbia College education doesn’t mean that much to everyone.

Maybe also realized NYC is not for her? She is going back to a place that is a 4h drive away from home.

The Ivy League, Columbia and NYC sound amazing during the recruiting process. Athletics does a great job with official visits and it’s all very appealing. It’s not for everyone though. Hope she’s happy and successful at Montana.
Oh, I agree. Columbia was the most transformative experience of my life, but there is no way I could have lived in NYC beyond the time it took to do my master’s program. I can only imagine how difficult the adjustment must have been for Shay, doing a four-year bachelor’s in the bustle of NYC plus basketball.
