The good, the bad and the ugly

The Ivy is getting a higher level frosh recruit because frosh recruiting is ay off with the big boys. They are portal heavy.

Ivies can recruit with the mantra, come here and you will still have a 5th at a Power 5 level team, or 2 additional years if you can pull an Aletan and graduate in 3.

The Ivies at a 13,14 or 15 seed will likely be relegated to a play in game and not have a shot to pu;l the Arizona, Baylor or Auburn type upsets.

The no extra grad rule will haunt until it is changed, if ever. It is nuts an is an original function of Princeton with fewer grad programs.

The Ivies will lose much top talent after 2 years to $$$ and will be playing much older teams in the out of conference and postseason.

Well said Richard, question is how interested alumni remain in the new environment, although that ship may have already sailed as it has with students
Personally im going to enjoy the next couple of years relying on fran to field a good team every year and root for young men in all the programs to graduate and then get paid and some grad credits and fun experiences elsewhere

A lot more 50-100th ranked high school recruits should start considering the Ivies if they can meet the Academic Index.

Hard to get off the bench as underclassmen when you have to compete with 23-26 year-olds. Play 2 years at an Ivy, then transfer out for a 7-figure NIL bag.
