Way too early predictions for upcoming Ivy season

a split this weekend would be more than okay.

For 37 minutes, it was nice to feel good again.

Proceed to doom and gloom. And laugh.

And cry. Inexcusable loss.

Monday will tell us a lot. Will they come out flat and bummed out? Or do they somehow pull out a win?

Such an amazing defensive effort with great shot making for 37 minutes. And then they completely slacked off. That late Stanton/Clark TO was the worst. They just shrugged like it was no big deal - led to a 3pt make and started the true Harvard comeback.

Penn defeats Dartmouth on the road. No more unbeatens and everyone but Penn has a disappointing/headscratcher loss.

It’s just gonna be that kind of Ivy season, I guess. Not ready to count out Cornell despite 0-3 start. If they sneak into the ILT, homecourt should do wonders.

5 way tie for first. Monday will show us a lot. I think Cornell definitely and Columbia (probably) are in trouble. The P-s vs D-H will be very very interesting on Monday.

I look at our game at Jadwin as just that sort of loss. Princeton’s run of consecutive made baskets spanning the end of the first half and into the second was frustrating, Our second half comeback was inspiring, but we just weren’t able to close it out.

True. I briefly forgot that you were leading 30-16 in the first half. Not as much of a choke as our game today, but still a “how did that happen?” loss.

Yes, I was going to add this game, Penn was totally dominating Princeton. And that was almost another game where a big late lead by Princeton evaporated into a defeat.

I think Harvard is going to come out smoking. I watched the replay of the final 10 minutes of that second half at Harvard, their offensive talent just overwhelmed Princeton. We will have our hands full trying to stop them.

Penn doesn’t stop anyone. But let’s see Harvard stop Roberts-Zanoni-Power and now Levine. We shoot much better than Harvard. It should be very interesting.

Harvard hit key shots from deep yesterday and ended up 10/26 (38%). The league is loaded with three point shooters.

This morning, there are 3 Ivy teams in the top ten in DI 3 point shooting:

Yale (3rd), Cornell (5th) and Penn (6th)–ranging from 40.1% to 40.8%. Dartmouth not far behind at 17.

We’re not making Ivy Madness anymore.

Ivy Madness is wide, wide open at this point.

I don’t see Brown making it, but it’s hard to count anyone else out at this point.

2-2 is fine on its own, but the way we lost these past two games is seriously concerning.

I’ve never seen a team lose so many close games in one season. The players look like they’re finally gonna crack.

Thank you Cornell and Columbia for cooling off Harvard and Dartmouth after they humiliated us last weekend. Please take it easy on us next week.

Yale looked vulnerable against Princeton in Game 2, but they haven’t looked vulnerable since. Was it a fluke? Maybe. Or maybe we’re the only team that matches up well. I’ll choose to believe the latter.

I think Yale will lose every game they play from here on out when they get outrebounded and shoot 17% from 3.

The debate is more cause than effect. We shall see I guess

Until the last 5 minutes of road games, Princeton playing tough defense and rebounding well is no fluke. Sure, Yale isn’t going to shoot 17% from 3 again. But it was a 16pt loss, not a 1pt loss.

Yale will waltz to the #1 seed by several games while Princeton will struggle to make ILT at all. But I’m eager to see a ILT rematch if it happens.

I watched the game and I commented then And haven’t changed my tune.

My high school team is legit. We have 3 future sec players and future 2 ivy/d 3 guys in our starting 5

We are young tho compared to yale

I like our chances if I keep 5 in the lane and Yale shoots like that. In fact I would take us at home
