Another lefty, it appears.

I wonder how much of this is McCaffery’s doing and how much Donahue. Recruiting is very much a long game, so I suppose it’s possible that Donahue was scouting this kid for a while, and McCaffery just sealing the deal.
I have zero idea. I’m just curious.

He was in play for some time
Note he thanked his nil agent

If this is the case, it’s similar to Steve re-closing the deal with Brodeur after Jerome’s firing.

Brodeur was straight Donahue as he came in his 2nd year. Donahue kept the Jerome recruits Silpe, J Donahue, M Rothschild, T Hamilton, and McManus

And his one title came with Jerome recruits Foreman and Woods.

silpe was the big one at the time
he and family really wanted wharton and staying local

How tall is this guy? I have seen 7 foot, 6’10’‘, 6’9" and
6’ 7"?

His nil agent says 7 ft

I think the other heights are from previous HS/club years, when he was still growing. Who knows, maybe he hasn’t stopped yet!

Brodeur was all Donahue. He was going to go to BC.

I checked out some of his highlight videos on YouTube. Left hand is clearly dominant, but he can go to his right. Looks like he has a decent shot, though his release looks a little low (kind of like Sam Brown’s, but at 7’, probably not much of a problem).

Active on defense, good mobility and seems to have a penchant for blocking shots.

Exciting!

Hopefully another transfer or two commits in the next few weeks to shore up the frontcourt. Kruse looks good but it’s tough to project Ivy bigs not named AJ Brodeur to have an immediate impact. Even Wolf had a limited role freshman year.

Sounds like POY candidate.

That’s when he’s standing on a pile of cash.

POY will be spelled Townsend or Pierce. No other candidates there.

I like the Pierce spelling best, Rutgers,
