Fadima Tall only played 12 mins and didn’t score today. Did she get injured?
Saw that in the boxscore. No info on anything.
She didn’t play in the second half. Was using a massage gun on her biceps in the 2nd half. Guessing she was cramping or some such and with a big lead they could afford to sit her.
It meant extended time for Charles, Eadie and Lessig, who got her first-ever minutes. 6 rebounds in the first half, good technique going 2-2 from the line. Having more depth and more height in the front court is going to help down the road.
Thnx for the info!
Hope she’s okay and ready for Rhode Island on Wednesday. URI (6-1) upset NC State at Reynolds yesterday, 68-63. They feature a 6’5” post from Finland, 6 players from France, and a freshman guard, Vanessa Harris, who played for McNamara, #1 in the national rankings last year. She was a first-team WCAC selection, and 3rd team All-Met.
Tougher than Merkle from PSU?
We may not play a better team than URI, other than Maryland, all season. An assistant coach alleviated my concern about Tall by reporting that she is fine and will play Wednesday.
Saw Fadima a few hours after the game and she looked fine.
URI has given the Tigers fits in Kingston. One of the great ‘21-‘22 team’s only losses was to the Rams on the road. (Didn’t help that Abby Meyers missed most of the 2nd half with an injury)
If this is true, then a fun season is coming up. But not sure it’s reasonable to downgrade Columbia.
Torvik has Villanova a cut above and then GT, Penn St, URI, Seton Hall, Belmont, Mason all within ten spots, a bit ahead of Harvard and Columbia.
Another really nice win today.
We look quite bad right now. Not sure we will be able to bounce back this season. Enjoy, this potentially looks like a historic season for Princeton WBB
This team seems very good. I have two concerns, depth and size. We are not getting much production off the bench. Today, we did not even get minutes. Hope Nweke and some others step up. We are unlikely to get bigger.
Actually we may get bigger, when Lessig shows she’s ready to be a regular rotation player. (She looked ready vs UMES but I don’t know how she looks in practices.)
Same for O’Sullivan.
Lessig has quite the compelling story. Would not be surprised to see her using skateboard to get to class ![]()
All that and a valedictorian, to boot. I know how proud her mom is.
