I watch and attend many uf games bc my wife played basketball there and is a fan.
One of my nephews also played there.
Two of my sons play conference games against the gators 2x a year.
We also get the sec network. I give a damn about Princeton per se.

Lee played 3 years for us, 2 of them at a POY level. He could have left after sophomore year and came back anyway out of loyalty. Then he got offered a life-changing amount of money (and he doesn’t come from wealth) and left. I don’t blame him at all.
While I’m glad the team has finally turned the page and formed an identity of its own, post Lee and Pierce, I still love watching him play and am rooting for a former Princeton player to succeed at the highest levels. It’s probably good for recruiting as well. Mitch and the program turned off-the-radar players like Tosan, Xaivian and Caden into high-major/pro talents.

Back to back great games for Lee vs. Georgia and Kentucky. Looks so much more confident and relaxed. Let’s see if he can carry that over into March.
With Stanton’s season-ending injury, I’ll be watching Lee’s games more closely. Gotta have something to cheer for.
lee’s shooting is mean reverting up a bit. golden has more action where he is running point and creating shots or the inside look off high ball screen top of key.
this is statistically where he has excelled in the past. catch and shoot stats still lagging.

Lee has really adjusted to his reduced role and Golden is definitely letting him run point more often. They also use occasional 3-guard lineups now (Lee, Fland, Klavzar/Brown), which opens up the paint.
If Florida makes a Final Four run with Lee playing well, he could get back on NBA radars. He’s not getting drafted but he’ll get plenty of workouts. Of course, he got those invites at Princeton too.

FWIW, Xaivian still likes and comments on a ton of Instagram posts from the MBB account and its players. Caden? Not so much (from what I can tell).
I’m not saying there’s hostility between Pierce and the team, but I do find it interesting that the guy who’s still on campus and in many of their classes seems less connected to them than the guy who’s all the way down in Florida 
Doubt it.
For a guy who professes not to care about former Princeton players who have transferred before using up their Princeton eligibility, it’s amusing how passionately you care about others who do care. Last year, I was rooting for Danny Wolf at Michigan even though I was disappointed he left Yale and I’m still rooting for him with the Nets. But if some other Yale fan feels differently, no problem.
I asked a question. I don’t get the obsession with everything a guy does for another team. Where’s the love for vernon collins, derek sangster etc? Relax dude. You have no clue how i “feel” about anything.

Perhaps it would be less mysterious if it were simply the interest people have in people—the same basic reason why there are biographies, statues, monuments, talk shows, interviews, autographs, posters, and so on.

FYI I have checked in on Vernon Collins from time to time; he’s not been a star with his new team.
What about derek sangster and jack scott and ryan duncan. Do you check on them, per se? Don’t forget about those guys.
I mean, let’s be real. Those guys aren’t starters on a national powerhouse like Lee.
Xaivian is in a uniquely interesting situation, playing big minutes for a Top 10 team that’s a legit title contender. Not to mention the intriguing narrative - “This Ivy League guy can’t handle the SEC!” At first, it looked like a legit complaint but now Lee is adjusting to his reduced role and turning things around.
Also, Princeton men’s basketball isn’t giving us much to cheer for this season. They basically gave up on the season two weeks ago despite being alive for Ivy Madness. I’ll feed my college hoops fix where I can find it.
