Ivy Tournament 2026

Great half of basketball for both teams. Play through Isaac in the 2nd half.

Looked like a team that has been in this position many times. Cornell did not lead once, and every Cornell punch was answered. Refs really messed up with that shot clock error hitting Cornell a 3 but Yale followed with the knock out run right after so they didn’t seem phased at all. Success breeds success.

Difference=we had Isaac celiscar. They did not

Refs did a great job keeping them in. 14 fts pounding the paint and that includes a fragrant 1. And an aggressive press last 5 mins

Hope brathwaite ok. He played great

There were 3 egregious ref/shot clock mistakes in that game that led to 8 points directly.

I was pretty nervous about that game - let’s get Townsend rested and iced up for tomorrow which I’m guessing is a 3peat vs harvard

Samson gave great minutes even tho it is not his matchup.
Will need to all contribute esp if it is against small ball
Cant let them negate our strength

Celiscar is a major talent, and this was the best I have ever seen Mullen.

Yale looks like a team that can win a game in the NCAA tournament.

It’s crazy just how many weapons this team has. I still worry about what P5 guards will do against our backcourt (assuming we make the tourney), but there are no flies on the offense, my goodness.

I think Isaac earned himself a lot of money today, if he wants it. I know he was already getting offers, but that was grown-man basketball.

Like a younger okereke who is a role playing stud on vandy

We need brathwaite and mullen to play well just to keep up with harvards guards unfortunately
Brathwaite celiscar fox and aletan are all questionable at best keeps
But so are 2/3 incoming bigs.
Way it is

Isaac is unbelievable. I have some naive hope that because his best position is an undersized 4, he’ll be less of a priority for high major NIL. That could be very foolish as he just had 27 points on 16 shots in a must win game.

The Yale starters all played well - Celiscar was great. We’re going to miss Simmons next season. He does a lot of things well even when he isn’t scoring. I wondered if Townsend was feeling the impact of his concussion towards the end of the game. He seemed to be holding his head that way. Brathwaite had become a real contributor. The ESPN announcers talked about how Fox has bulked up as the season progressed. That helps but he’s lost some of his shooting touch in the second half of the season.

Yale has been in all eight Ivy tournaments and this will be its seventh appearance in the championship game and hopefully its sixth win there. Go Elis!

Correction: if Yale wins it would be its fifth Ivy Madness championship.

This Penn-Harvard game could not be more different than Yale-Cornell. What a brickfest.

Sadly Harvard d is legit tho

They can win a few different ways which I hate.

But given our d improvement so can yale. Ask cornell

Yale should win by 20.

Harvard plays small spreads you out. And today are pounding Penn on the glass.

Something to watch

Let’s go to as many overtimes as possible! I’d much prefer to play Penn sans Roberts than a Harvard team we went to the buzzer with twice.
