this game scares me. A big
rival with a coach who may
need to beat us to keep his job.

Hoping for big game from Pierce.
They do not have an obvious answer
for him.

Penn fans are bemoaning the lack of chatter (on the old board) on Princeton-Penn game day. I’m a little anxious about this game too, LocalTiger. Tigers can’t afford to lay an egg in the first half like they have so many times this season. Go Tigers!

If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!

This team is so frustrating! Great start then they start throwing the ball away, taking lousy shots, etc. Aaarrghhh

Happy looks really impressive. Not just the early buckets but good defense on Spinoso.

Jack Scott is a hot head.

I appreciate that fire against Rutgers. Here? Not so much.

Very unsettling game. Princeton just doesn’t look good tonight. If Penn starts hitting threes, we could be in a lot of trouble.

I feel compelled to bitch about the refs here. Pozlowski elbowed a PU player in the head without a call just prior to the tech on Scott. Hicke gets hacked, no call. And a few others as well.

These turnovers are killers: 6 already. Penn has stepped up the defense/physicality, but we gotta stop giving up possessions.

It’s the same inconsistent D we’ve seen all season. Some possessions they practically force a shot-clock violation, other times they blow an assignment. The defensive rebounding is very good though.

Blocking foul on Pierce? Come on .

Malik knocked that one into the fifth row!

You can see the Tigers’ personnel superiority across the board. Just have to play with focus and they should win this thing comfortably. But…

Lee’s threes aren’t even close today.

Peters fouled on a looong trey attempt. Levine had to work just to get that far out to commit the foul.

Lee is working his butt off on both ends. The shots will start falling eventually.

Aaagh at the end there–make a layup! But the block on the other end was pretty nifty.

Anyone else enjoying the amateur broadcast out of the Palestra? Their first graphic listed PU’s starting five as the “Harvard Crimson,” and the behind-the-scenes video and audio during commercial breaks is pretty funny. Curran asking if anyone is listening to him and then saying “guess not” is priceless.
