World university games in germany in july, on same team as ethan roberts
Right- so if he opts out of his senior year wonāt be for injury rehab. Will be for the ca$h. Remains to be seen.
The one thing that would make Pierce look much, much more compelling at higher levels would be to show that he can be a good catch-and-shoot three-point guy. Tosan had to do that too, but he had to prove it in the G league. If Pierce were to play somewhere (Princeton or elsewhere) where he got to feature that along with the rest of his all-around game then he would be in decent shape to try out for an NBA squad. A guy who can get rebounds out of area, play tough D, pass it well, set good screens, and hit open treys is going to make a lot of coaches happy.
Id be shocked if Caden is ever an NBA player.
I would be stunned if Caden isnāt a Power 3 starter if he chooses to leave. He will be heavily sought after by all but 5 or 6 teams.
And after a year as a starter for a Power 3 team, what next? Europe?
Pierce isnāt an nba prospect
Iām sure Caden could start for most power conference teams, but heād be a complementary player not a ball-dominant star. And he could easily be benched in a big game for missing a few open shots or making some bad TOs. I donāt think thatās a great career move.
If Caden hopes to play in the NBA, heāll have to go the long-term Tosan route. Even then, I think it would help to be known as a mid major superstar instead of a high major glue guy. Maybe Iām wrong.
There probably know more than me about this.
I understand Pierce is on rosters for Summer play,
but are we sure he is going to play?
If he had wanted to play in a Power conference,
he could have entered the portal. Sitting out
a year only makes sense if he cannot play
at 100%.
My take last year was that he played hurt to try
to help the team. He may regret that now as his
stock took a hit. I canāt fault him for not wanting to
repeat that cycle.
I hope he is healthy and plays for Princeton again.
He has been a joy to watch.
Heās been playing. Heās posted video on his X account.
Getting a Princeton degree while working out and improving for a year and then getting paid boatloads of cash to play for another team sounds pretty sweet to me.
Itās not a bad idea. He also gets a year of grad school. The downside is that he doesnāt become a 4 year team guy with the other players in his class. I think thatās an important thing but most kids these days donāt care as much.
Mitch Henderson might not think itās that āsweetā.
The other guys he came in with are gone.(Unless Devan Austin returns). Maybe with maconnell gone heās not happy overall.
has macconnell landed yet?
There was a rumor he was headed to Stanford.
Iāve seen nothing on him yet
And
FWIW, he is not listed on the current updated roster (incoming freshmen also not yet listed).
He is not playing in the university games, jackson hicke is
