Opened Columbia -6.5, now -5.5
After yesterday, can’t be very optimistic about our chances.
Davis started over Clark. Maybe today Clark starts over Stanton?

I like that move. Draw a line through last night,
and try for a split. Go Tigers!
Probably have to win at least a couple on the road to make the Ivy tournament. Tonight would be a really good time to break the string of misery away from home but it won’t be easy. Tigers have to forget last night.
It was a true team effort. ![]()
This is a team good enough to beat Yale and bad enough to be down 36 points to a mid Cornell team. I don’t know how to fix this team, other than make more shots or play all the games in Jadwin…
They need knowledgeable advice.
Come on down, Roy.
They’re definitely losing at home to Cornell, so they need to win at least TWO road games to make the ILT.
I won’t say this is a “must win” game. But it’s close.
There is something about last nights lost that really bothered me. In many ways it looked like Princeton was completely unprepared for Cornell. A team not known for defense and actually known for giving up points completely took Princeton out of the game. I don’t like to second guess coaches because they and their staff put in1000% more hours into prep and planning BUT, when you can’t stay in front of your opponent and keep allowing straight line drives and layups … you have to change your strategy. Go zone or go small.. pull CJ/Hugs off the floor and match their speed.. I can see where the strategy was to go inside and take advantage of our size and maybe confused Hugs/Happy with all the sudden being rim protectors.. my opinion the kids were not put in the best position to be successful last night and they played like they didn’t believe in the game plan… which was very odd. Hopefully they can flush last night and find their footing.
Fully agree.
Also, they kinda slowly brought the ball up against pressure, then passed around the perimeter looking for …what?
Cornell sprinted up, put at least 4 guys in motion, and took the first good look.
Lastly, teams have learned to collapse on Hicke and DD near the rim, with relative impunity as neither is a great interior passer.
Tigers getting brutalized on the boards. Ooof
Davis’ lateral quickness on defense is very poor, likely due to residual ankle stiffness.
Giving up 3 offensive boards on their first defensive stand. Picking up where they left off, I see.
They’ve completely lost their physicality and confidence. “Be strong with the ball” goes the saying. This team is weak with everything.
Tigers have missed 4 from point blank range early.
Our guys always double one-pass away from a good shooter. And they never even try to force a TO. Just wave their hands in the vicinity of the big.
This is so embarrassing. Our guys just look demoralized. Playing at 50% effort, 50% speed.
Lions just look more excited to play tonight.
Turning the ball over like the early games this year. Lions playing tight D and we are throwing lazy passes. Ugly combination. Down 9 half way through the first.
We’re losing every single 50/50 ball. Opposing teams are just laughing at us now.
Lazy, lifeless, demoralized. Princeton men’s basketball everyone.
We need a new coach ASAP.
Meanwhile, Penn crushing Cornell 29-14.
Mitch has no idea what he’s doing.
Columbia with 2 key players out with 2 fouls and Stanton finally hits from deep. Down 6
Davis is getting cooked on defense and making nothing on offense.
He definitely shouldn’t be starting again.
Stanton heats up and the Tigers toughen up on D to pull within 1.
