Is there a way to remove the calendar in each sub-forum? It takes up a lot of space and I don’t think it’s necessary.
Sure. Events will still show up in the main calendar linked above.

Also, maybe remove the pinned “About the ______ category” topic in each sub forum?

Not a current issue, but should a situation arise, is it possible to put other posters on “ignore” ?
When I open the site, I see following message at bottom if screen:
There is 1 unread and 2 new topics remaining, or browse other topics in Ivy League
When I click on the “unread” topics or “new” topics links, I am told (as far as I can tell, correctly) that there are no more unread or new topics, but the message remains.
This may sound frivolous, but is it too late to change the name/address of the forum?
Something more specific like “Ivy League Hoops” or “Ivy Basketball.” Just to help with SEO and whatnot.

Is there a way to turn off the pop-up notifications when posting?
When I post a new game thread, a popup message appears telling me: “This thread title is similar to another one…” Or when posting two comments in a row: “Consider editing your previous post…” Stuff like that.

Hi. Just joined this and am happy to support and contribute. I created a login on the original site, but never received the confirmation email. Just curious if that’s a common issue? Thanks for any help.

These are two different sites so I am not sure what you mean about creating a login on the basketball-u site and not getting a confirmation email. That is not my site so not sure what is going on over there.
I had the same issue, it seems that the admins of that forum no longer check it, and since approval is needed to be able to write, it will be a lottery that one gets accepted there. It would be really nice to find a way to contact someone that can write in that forum and tell the community to migrate here so that new people can join
