Tosan

Yes! Crazy win for the Nets. And Tosan just seems to be in the right place at the right time doing all of the little things that matter. Its a joy to watch him play.

Tosan shot 7/11 from the field. The rest of the Nets were 31/71 (woof!)

It says a lot that Jordi Fernandez trusts a two-way contract player to close tight games.

I really hope he stays with the Nets and Fernandez. You can tell he’s a coach’s favorite.

Glad a get the YES network!

In my not-too-impossible dreams, Tosan, Caden and Xaivian are all playing in the NBA in 2-3 years.

Nets have, like, 4-5 picks this draft. Maybe they should use one on Lee. Unite the Tigers!

I believe 2-way players have a limit of 45 games in the League. As things stand, unless Tosan gets a game or two off for load management, he can play all but the last two games.

I am pretty sure he’s seen the last of the G League.

The Prince will be doing a big piece on Tosan next week. Exciting times.

The Nets are releasing Tosan today.

It may seem otherwise but I’m not stalking Tosan. He signed a 2-way contract with the Knicks today.

stalk away! Knicks need a deeper rotation. Hope he gets meaningful time.

i watched him a bit in summer league. Not sure where his skillset fits in the NBA. It looked like he spent little time with the ball in hands. Mostly a spot up corner shooter a la Shane Battier. Hope he finds a niche where he can shine.

Mitch seems to think “he’s a great fit”. Of course this could be mostly home coach hype. College Coach Loves New York Knicks Newest Forward

Did not make final roster but has a “two-way”.

Small sample size, but during preseason, Tosan went 7-8 (3-4 from three) in 33 minutes.

Let’s hope his 3pt shot is finally good enough for him to stick.

Hard not to believe that some team is going to want some depth and realize the value that Tosan provides across the board, especially as injuries pile up during the year. A low-maintenance guy who can give you good D on and off the ball, hit threes, move the ball, and rebound (all he’s really been permitted to do as a pro so far) usually has a market. If he ever gets into a situation where he’s allowed to do the point forward thing against somebody’s second unit I think he could become a full-time NBA player.

He proved it in brooklyn last season.

I caught this piece in The Athletic earlier in the week.

Waived by the Knicks last week.

So now what?

At this point, he’s the equivalent of a “Quadruple-A” player in baseball. Too good for the minors, not good enough for the majors.

Maybe another team picks up him, but it may be time to consider playing overseas. Either get big minutes and big bucks in Asia. Or try to sign with a high level Euroleague team to stay on NBA radars.

Tosan signed with the Maine Celtics. And had a great first game last night.

2 for 4 from 3.

If he can hit those regularly, he can play in NBA.
